Bicentennial Program and Tree Dedication

OnĀ December 3, 2018, the great State of Illinois will be 200 years old! A birthday this monumental cannot go un-celebrated. The program will discuss everything from Illinois’ early years, historical happenings, famous Illinoisans, as well as supplemental online info on Illinois counties as the big date draws closer. It’s Gonna Be A Party! The Museum will also dedicate the Bicentennial Johnny Appleseed apple tree donated by members Carl and Mary Ellen Flaks. This little tree is the Kane County bicentennial tree obtained through the Illinois State Historical Society.
