Senior Health & Wellness Fair at Elgin Community College

The Museum will have a table set up at the first Senior Health & Wellness Fair taking place Friday, April 26 from 10am-2pm at Elgin Community College, 1700 Spartan Drive, Building E. The Fair combines the efforts of four partners: Elgin Community College, Kane Senior Council, Association for Individual Development and the Age-Friendly initiative of the Village of South Elgin.

Along with free admission, refreshments and door prizes, the Health & Wellness Fair includes:

• Free health screenings (blood pressure, retina screening, stroke risk assessment and more);
• Break-out informational sessions regarding dementia awareness, nutrition and other topics;
• A wide-variety of agencies and businesses serving the older adult community, including libraries, first responders, over-55 communities, cultural/educational and recreational organizations and health/mental health care providers.
