Elgin Watches Keepsake Box

This wooden box is perfect for storing your heirloom Elgin watch. The hinged wooden box has an inside dimension of 3.5 x 3.5 inches to accommodate most pocket watches. Inside is a red velvet cushion and an informational card on the Elgin National Watch Company with space on the reverse to record information about the heirloom or collector’s watch you choose to store inside.  The wood-burned image on the front of the box is taken from a pre-1874 watch factory advertising logo.  Text on the information card is taken from 19th century advertising materials, all within the collection of the Elgin History Museum.
